Extraordinarily challenging. Even the disassembly will be beyond the capability of most puzzlers. It is a sequential locking cube that has the compounded impact of the internal marbles preventing disassembly until maneuvered properly.

Previously, despite sales of the Ramu, no one had claimed to have solved it without the use of the instructions. That changed on April 21, 2009 when PAX Puzzle was made aware of a customer that managed to solve the puzzle. His name is Clive Tooth and he is a resident of Reading in the United Kingdom who lists his interests as computer programming and mathematics.

In June 2009 Michael Brown, an undergraduate at NCSU in computer science managed to defeat the Ramu. He was determined and his sister held on to the sealed envelope as he worked dilligently to solve it. His perseverence paid off when he solved it without a life line. No computer programming was used. Congratulations Mr. Brown!

Another individual has earned hall of fame honors for uniquely solving the Ramu Octahedron. Marshall Vandegrift, a software engineer, employed his programming prowess to defeat the Ramu Octahedron on January 4, 2010. He solved it in one day. Again, this is the MOST difficult puzzle that we carry. If you solve it we will list your name within this description, as a hall of fame of sorts. Named after its creator, Ramu Kaminoff.
